I was in a state of total confusion. I didn't know what i was confused about. But i just knew that i didn't feel right. So i thought of taking a walk to the MC (actually the main purpose of the walk was to fill my bottle with water from C hostel). My two friends came with me. Well, i like to discuss philosophy-like things with others (especially when i am in a dull mood). So, i asked them what their views about life was. I asked them what was the purpose of their lives. Here are their views:
Friend A told that he felt that there was no special purpose for his or anyones life. That we should life to our fullest in the best possible manner and always be happy(good point i thought). He also said that he didn't believe in an afterlife or anything like that. Once you are dead, you do not exist. Thats it. The End.
Friend B had told me on an earlier occasion that he lived to eat. He didn't want to express his true view. Maybe he was not sure. (I promise to ask him this question later and report his answer here). But he was sure about one thing. He said that he didn't believe in an afterlife and also didn't believe in the condition or situation of not having an afterlife. Now that is how one should be sure of things!
